Opened in 2005 by Kathy Whitney and Mimi Darr. Previous to That Dirty Dog much of their conversations were centered around how getting their dogs (Wheaty & Bella - Wheaten Terriers and Ada - English Bull Terrier) bathed and groomed could be such a hassle. Eventually, they were fed up and decided to start their own grooming salon with the revolutionary option to come in and wash your dog yourself.
Once That Dirty Dog opened they were determined to make it the Ritz Carlton of dog bathing and grooming when it came to customer service. Passing down their vision and hard work to their former manager and now current owner Megan Barajas in 2021.
That Dirty Dog will now be approaching its 20th anniversary in 2025!

That Dirty Dog has a long-standing history of being women-owned and managed.
Our current owner Megan Barajas began her animal care career at 15 years old starting in veterinary boarding facilities and had dreamt from that moment of owning her own animal facility. She has worked in the animal care industry for over 20 years and has experience as a horse farm manager, and boarding facility manager, and has technician and reception experience at veterinary facilities.
She graduated Cum Laude in 2012 from Kennesaw State University with a Bachelors in Business Administration with a focus on HR and Entrepreneurship. Now that dream has been realized as she has worked hard to expand That Dirty Dog from 10 or fewer employees to over 20 and has expanded its footprint from 1500 sq foot to 2700 sq foot.
She continues to strive to support the community by donating That Dirty Dog gift cards and gift baskets to local schools and animal welfare charity events, participating in food donations with NFCC, as well as supporting the Fulton County Fraternity Order of Police. She also continues the yearly participation in Roswell Baseball Card for Roswell Highschool.
